Service for Free

…and so my first rant is a drunken rant.
There is a common misconception that just because someone is providing a service or a product “for free” it is a license to lower the quality bar as much as the providers want. This is not to say that one shouldn’t appreciate a free service (e.g., our site provider’s), or that one should rant endlessly about that free service while sapping bandwidth and giving nothing in return. This is more about how people respond to constructive criticism.
